Casey joined the BioDesign Lab in 2018 as a Ph.D. student. She completed her undergraduate degree at Washington & Jefferson College in 2014, majoring in math and physics. Now, she is working on automatic judgement of machine reading output for model extension and representing biological motifs in hybrid-element models.
